There are about 500 secondary schools in Hong
Kong, with three-year junior secondary shcools
and three-year secondary schools. The junior 
secondary is of compulsory offering a wide 
range of subjects. Applicants for secondary 
school are applied through "self-allocation" 
and "unified allocation". 

Junior secondary school curriculum offers 
Chinese language, English language, Mathematics, 
Integrated Science, Integrated Humanities with 
Music, Visual Arts, Sports and Mandarin. 

Senior secondary school curriculum offers
Chinese language, Chinese literature, English 
literature, Mathematics, Science, General 
Education, Social and Humanities Educaiton.  

Upon completing Form 6, students take the
public examination, the Hong Kong Diploma of 
Secondary Education. It has worldwide recognition,
as the British Academic Accreditation Center's 
report that the British universities and colleges 
admissions office accept this qualificatoin for
university entrance.
