International School                                                                                                                                     

International schools have a considerate proportion
of foreign students. There are about 50 international
schools in Hong Kong, each offering classes from 
different countries and the International Baccalaureate
Organization. Some international schools are affiliated
schools of the English Schools Foundation and the rest
are runned by private bodies.  

International schools provide education for foreigners 
or returned ovreseas students. They welcome students 
from all over the world. In recent years, many parents 
have sent their children to international schools and 
hope they have a higher standard of English for future 
progression to overseas universities. Private international 
schools are more resourceful with better teachers enabling 
students' effectiveness in learning and a better learning 
environment. It is worth mentioning that the provision 
of IB courses are not necessarily international schools, 
and not all international schools provide IB courses 
either. Parents have to plan early for their enrollment 
if they wish to apply for international schools.
