There are eight public universities funded by 
the University Grants Committee (UGC) in 
Hong Kong. Approximately 15,000 seats are
offered for first year degree studetns each 
year and these institutions (in no particular
order) include: 

University of Hong Kong
The Chinese University of Hong Kong
Hong Kong University of Science and Technology
City University of Hong Kong  
Hong Kong Polytechnic University
Hong Kong Baptist University 
Lingnan Univeristy 
The Education University of Hong Kong
